Almaty Museum of Arts

The Almaty Museum of Arts opens in autumn 2025, located in the heart of Almaty, Kazakhstan, with the Alatau mountains as its dramatic backdrop. Responding to both the urban context of Kazakhstan’s largest city and the surrounding landscape, Thonik develops a visual identity that seamlessly integrates these elements into the museum’s overall expression.

My main involvement in the project focuses on the development of the wayfinding system and the uniform design, ensuring that both functionally and visually they align with the museum’s architectural language and identity.
